A Legacy of Resilience, Adaptation & Unity
"Transplanting roots across oceans while holding fast to our shared culture, traditions, and spirit."
Background & Origins
The foundation of the Alliance traces back to December 2000, when several GTA Hakka associations united to organize the first Toronto Hakka Conference (THC). Conferences were subsequently hosted every four years through 2012.
Because each conference required building operations from scratch, participating overseas Hakka organizations recognized the need for a permanent structure to ensure organizational continuity and pass the torch to future generations.
